Want an Effortless but yet Delish Chili Recipe? Yes, Please!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

Have you ever felt overwhelmed knowing that you have to cook for the week or the next day & you don't feel the energy to do it? I know, I've been there, but I have the best Slow Cooker Turkey Chili for you to enjoy without the effort!

With this post I want to motivate you in your cooking journey! I know it might be boring or exhausting at first but look at it this way, it is a daily necessity & you want to nourish your body the best way you can.

If you're not an expert in cooking, that's okay! We all start somewhere. At the beginning it's normal to feel safe with low key recipes, but once you master a few meal ideas you will want to try more elaborated ones. For this reason, I want to share this recipe in which you only have to mix in the ingredients in your slow cooker & that's it! It's nourishing & a fan favorite without all the prep required for other recipes.

Ingredients:

  • 1lb lean ground turkey (feel free to substitute with chicken or beef)

  • 1 can (28oz) diced tomatoes with no salt added (or low sodium)

  • 1 1/2 cups chicken bone broth

  • 1 can (6oz) tomato paste

  • 1/3 cup chopped red bell peppers

  • 1/3 cup chopped onion

  • 2 jalapeños- diced

  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 2 teaspoons chili powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic herb seasoning

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Method:

  • In a skillet with avocado oil ad the onion & when translucent incorporate the ground turkey. Crumble it & wait until fully cooked. Then include the bell pepper.

  • Once they are cooked, place them in the slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients.

  • Place the jalapeño slices on top

  • Set the slow cooker to high & cook for 2 hours.

  • *If you want to omit the cooking part at the beginning feel free to use chicken breasts & just place all the ingredients in the slow cooker for 2 hours.

  • Serve & enjoy!
